Following Fate (隨緣)

CHA MYUNGHYE (artist)

When the moon in the sky is called a half-moon, it remains whole, along with its hidden half.
At a certain moment, the sun, the earth, and the moon meet and move in harmony. The moon embraces the changes upon its surface, shining in different forms at every moment. As the moon transforms, so too does the heart that gazes upon it.

The encounters, transformations, and dispersions that occur by chance come to me as beauty.
A single point meets other points and conditions, momentarily becoming this or that, shimmering briefly, and then flowing into something else. Yet, the point continues to shine.

In my work, I sought to find the point where each element remains whole in itself while existing harmoniously within the greater whole. I hoped that the result would come alive with a clear and vibrant energy.

When I willingly exist within the flow of change, life bestows upon me a sense of peace. And within that, I gradually draw closer to myself.
